Based on John Steinbeck’s classic novella Of Mice and Men, The Mouse tells the story of two friends, Kisan and Baloo, who dream of owning a house on a piece of farmland. Mothered by Kisan, Baloo is a grown man with the mind of a child, obsessed by the touch of silky or velvety objects. Unfortunately, while his desire for physical contact is entirely innocent, Baloo can never fully control his strength and tends to crush the cuddly creatures that come into his grasp. This obsession will have dire consequences for the two men’s plan for a quiet rural existence and force them into a tragic confrontation with disgruntled villagers, but also with each other.
