Event Details

Gurman is an old Punjabi social worker who lost everything during the Partition of India and then spent her adult life rehabilitating abducted young women in Pakistan. Gurman’s caretaker, Ela, a young Adivasi girl, was forced to leave her home, the forest, to find better financial prospects in Delhi. While Gurman craves for an eternal return, Ela, begins to build a forest around her in the city itself, fully aware that her home is now lost. Through their budding friendship, the two women will try to find solace by building their own imaginary home against the homelessness of the world.
