The state of Manipur is considered as the Mecca of polo in India, where many polo players and fans congregate. The players and their ponies, however, lead a miserable life due to poverty and loss of livelihood. Stallone My Pony focuses on the life of one of these athletes, Thawai, who is immensely in love with his mount, Stallone. One day, Thawai’s poverty-stricken father sells off Stallone. Thinking that the horse has gone missing, the young man sets out to find him.

Director: Bobby Wahengbam: is an actor, film critic, teacher and filmmaker. His book Matamgi Manipur: The First Manipuri Feature Film won him the Swarna Kamal for Best Book on Cinema at the 65th National Film Awards in 2018. At the state level, Wahengbam has had the distinction of winning both the Best Critic Award and Best Book on Manipuri Cinema. He also received the State Award for Best Film on Sport/Social Issues and the Special Jury Award for his documentary on human trafficking, Soft Target (2014), produced by Films Division of Mumbai. Maipaksana Haorongbam: is a National Award-winning filmmaker. His film Let Me Join You (2015) was awarded Best Manipuri Film at the 63rd National Film Awards. The same film went on to win the Best Feature Film and Best Direction prizes at the 10th Manipur State Film Awards. Haorongbam also writes scripts for traditional theatre. He studied film editing at the Jyoti Chitraban Film and Television Institute in Guwahati.
